A Home from Top to Bottom

Over the Summer and Fall I spent four months working on an entire home project. My clients lost most of the furniture they had to the flood we had last Spring. They had over 2 inches of water in their entire home. They moved out of the flooded house and into this house with not much of anything but a check from insurance. This house is in Spring Valley and was a blast to decorate. The paint color we used throughout is Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. We kept the old homeowners blue paint in the dining room and play room.

ENTRY BEFORE

ENTRY AFTER

I had gray seagrass wallpaper hung in the entry which gives it a wow factor. The mirror is from Wisteria, the console (which I love) is from Layla Grace, the lamps are from Overstock and the flowers are from OKL. The light fixture is from Shades of Light.

DINING BEFORE

DINING AFTER

They really wanted to use the table and chairs that were given to them by her father, so we just recovered the chairs. I had barn doors custom made by TBS Barn Doors since she really wanted to be able to close off the playroom if people were coming over. The chandelier is from Horchow, the candle sticks and basket on the table are from an antique dealer, and the runner is from Paisley House.

My client is very sentimental, so we hung her grandmothers china on one of the walls.

PLAYROOM BEFORE

PLAYROOM AFTER

She didn't want to spend much money on this room so most of the stuff in here they already had, I just arranged it. I did by a bunch of inexpensive frames from HomeGoods to hang the kids' art in, and I had the pillows custom made. The lamp is from RH Baby.

LIVING ROOM BEFORE

LIVING ROOM AFTER

The amazing modern rug is from Rug Mart. The sectional she found on Memorial Area Trading. The cute tufted ottoman is from Lamps Plus as are the lamps. We had the pillows custom made. The wicker trunk is from IKEA. The bench on the back wall is from an antique dealer, and the botanical prints, which she already had, are from RH Baby. I have used these on a couple of other jobs as they are beautiful and a great price. She didn't want anything on the windows to make sure it was light and bright in there.

Everything on her mantle has an emotional meaning for them. I love that! Everything on the bookshelves was either from Paisley House, MAI, or things they already had.

These chairs they already had, but had seen better days. We had them recovered and custom pillows made to match. The little round mirrored side table is Pottery Barn.

This storage piece was from her Dad. She wanted something to store China in and this was perfect. I made the flower arrangement and the painting is from an antique dealer.

MASTER BEFORE

MASTER AFTER

She wanted her bedroom to be peaceful and spa like. We wallpapered the accent wall with a seafood color seagrass. We used the headboard she already had which is perfect. The bench is from RH. The painting is from Paisley House, the lamps are from HomeGoods and the light fixture is from OKL. The bedding, which is gorgeous, is from Three Doors. The two maps above the bed are sentimental to them. I had them reframed to match at Michael's. The bedside tables are from Wisteria.

She found these two chairs on Memorial Area Trading. We just got them recovered, and had pillows made to tie in the seafoam color. The table she already had, and she painted it herself. So proud of her! And, the lamp is from Paisley House. This is an adorable sitting area and a perfect place to do Bible study or have quiet time.

NURSERY BEFORE

NURSERY AFTER

Cute room for a one year old! The rug is from RH Baby, as is the tent and light fixture. We had the chair cushions recovered, and the leather pillow is from Pottery Barn. The crib and changing table she already had. What I didn't get a picture of is the huge world map that is hanging above the changing table.

TODDLER'S ROOM BEFORE

TODDLER'S ROOM AFTER

This room for a three year old is so sweet. The bedding is from PB Kids, the lamp and rug are RH, the bed was bought on Memorial Area Trading, and the nightstand was her dad's.

I loved this project from start to finish!

West U Home Exterior Paint Job

Back in October I helped a client pick colors for an exterior paint face lift. The house is located in West University and is about 15 years old. It is just beautiful on the inside and the client wanted to feel the same about the exterior as she does about the interior. She wanted to lighten it up with a color in the white family, but she didn't have the time to actually pick out the color. Not to mention the thought of choosing a color stressed her out way too much. I don't blame her. Picking paint colors is HARD!

BEFORE

AFTER

I gave her four different color combinations as options and we ended up going with Sherwin Williams Natural Choice for the brick and Functional Gray for the shutters, trim, front door, and garage door.

What a transformation! It looks like a completely different house. It is gorgeous!

Pink and Gold Baby Girl Nursery

A glamorous pink and gold nursery is complete! There are no before pictures for this one because it was just an empty beige room before. The client saw this pink and gold wallpaper on pinterest, tracked it down and made that the inspiration for the room. I went from there. We used the wallpaper as a feature wall behind the crib. No art work necessary! We then had the pink color in the wallpaper matched and made for the remaining three walls.

The chandelier is from Restoration Hardware, the crib and dresser are from Pottery Barn Kids.

The handles on this dresser were originally black, and I gave them the homework assignment of spray painting the handles gold one weekend. The adorable prints are from Pottery Barn Kids.

The client wanted to do pretty bookshelves, but didn't want to spend a lot of money doing so. This bookshelf is from IKEA, and again, it was spray painted gold! It turned out beautifully.

The rocker/recliner is from Babies First Furniture and its so comfortable. We chose a white cotton fabric with circle detailing.

I found this adorable little wooden chair at Hobby Lobby for the pink bunny to sit in. This makes me so very happy.

I found the "love" bookends on Etsy.

The acrylic M is from TJ Maxx, and the Hello Love sign and stand are from Hobby Lobby.

Both of the below are from TJ Maxx.

The lamp and small white picture frame are from Homegoods, the gold monogram I ordered on Etsy, and the cute little gold leaf tripod table is from Soft Surroundings Home.

A perfect room for a little princess!

Living Room Re-do

I finished a client's living room recently. Most of what they had was hand me down furniture, and they wanted to basically start over. The room was a bit choppy because they had three smaller seating pieces. Here are the BEFORE pictures.

Design Board

And the AFTER pictures. She is a big fan of neutrals and loves the "pottery barn" look.

I talked her into a sectional because it fit the space just perfectly. We got her sectional made from Chic Warehouse. The light fixture is from Pottery Barn as are the red pillows on the couch.  The rug is from Ballard Designs.

They already had the cute wall clock, dog basket, and plant, I just gave them a new home in the corner. They also already had the great seagrass blanket basket.

We kept the red chair because they like the comfort of it, and I liked the color it added to the room. The side table and mirror they already had, and the lamp we got on Overstock.com.

The huge coffee table is from Wisteria. The faux orchid is from One Kings Lane.

They already had this cute little lamp, and the side table is from Pottery Barn.

The off white linen curtains are from IKEA!! I just love them. They are so great for the price. We added more panels to the window instead of just hanging some on either side of the window which gives it a much more finished look.
