A client moved into a new house and needed a major bathroom redo. The rest of the house looked great, with an exception of the master bath. She asked me to help with picking out the tile, vanity, mirror, flooring, lighting, tub, etc. Basically anything that involved aesthetics, and I was happy to do so.
Here are the BEFORE pictures. It was pretty dark and dingy with too many small rooms. I don't know why people used to think that putting carpet in a bathroom was a good idea!
Here are the blueprints from the contractor.

Here are the AFTER pictures.
Instead of having her contractor build in a vanity, we opted for one that looked more like a piece of furniture. This one is from Pottery Barn. It came with the sinks and carrera marble top. We added baskets on the shelf below for extra storage. The paint color for the bathroom is Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter.
The mirror and two sconces are also from Pottery Barn. I just love sconces in the bathroom. They add extra light, and you can put them on a dimmer to create mood lighting.
The client really wanted a stand alone tub. I don't blame her, they are awesome! We went and looked at Ferguson off Richmond, and while they had some beautiful tubs, they were very expensive. So, we found a tub very similar in dimensions and look on Amazon for a fraction of the price.
We had a custom natural woven shade made to add another texture. She had her shutter company do this one. The chandelier is from Horchow and is adorable!
What a huge difference!

Since the bathroom is pretty large, I wanted to include a rug to soften up the floors. This one is from Wayfair. We continued the engineered hardwood into the bathroom from the master bedroom. Tile is more traditionally used in bathrooms, but the owner really liked the look of wood. A rug will add extra protection from water.

We went with large rectangular carrera tiles in the shower since the shower is so large and juxtaposed them with the small carrera hex floor tiles.
What a huge difference!
